Matt thought he had saved the day by convincing Tony Stark to buy up the properties and sell them back to their former owners at cost. The series' previous story arc dealt with Daredevil and Elektra battling the wealthy Stromwyn family, which had been hiring supervillains to terrorize the neighborhood in order to drive out Hell's Kitchen's inhabitants and snatch up cheap real estate.
